About Virginia Sampang, MDDr. Virginia Sampang is a Board Certified Family Doctor with 20+ years of clinical experience. Dr. Sampang earned her Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology in 1989 at the Far Eastern University, Manila, Philippines. She continued her education at the Far Eastern University, Dr. Nicanor Reyes Medical Foundation, receiving her Doctor of Medicine degree in 1995. From 1995 to 1996 Dr. Sampang did a Transition (rotating) Internship at East Avenue Medical Center, Quezon City, Philippines. She finished her Emergency Medicine Residency Program at the St. Luke’s Medical Center, Quezon City, Philippines, in 2000. After moving to the United States, Dr. Sampang completed her Family Medicine Residency Training Program at Medical Center of Central Georgia/Mercer University School of Medicine, Macon, GA, in 2006. She did Geriatric Medicine Fellowship at the Mercer University School of Medicine in 2006-2007. She received the Southeast Center of Excellence in Geriatric Medicine Resident Award from the University of Alabama, Birmingham, & Emory University, Atlanta, Georgia. Virginia also received the Clinical Instructor Award from the Department of Family Medicine, Mercer University School of Medicine, Macon, GA. |
